Finger Wave Hairstyle

The finger wave hairstyle is most fashionable in the 1920's and 1930's and in the 1990's in north america and europe and wave means curls. The method includes pinching the hair between the fingers and combing the hair in irregular direction to make a wave shape and to get the proper shape a lotion was applied to the hair. This fashion was ultimately superseded by hair rollers.

On the other hand finger waving is the still used and successful way of teaching control of the hair in hair intend. Nearly all beauty schools quiet teach and test on finger waving because it teaches the student how to shape and direct the hair. Usually, pinching the hair is off limits because that makes unwanted sharp ridges.

Tips for how to do finger wave hairstyle

  • In the finger waves, you take wet hair and styling product added copiously. Then comb the hair into ridges comb the hair into ridges and curves with your fingers. But you have to choose where you want to begin the waves and lay your middle finger flat across the hair. Then, take your comb, push it against the side of the finger, and in one-inch sections, pull the comb (teeth straight down) side ways along the finger until a ridge forms. Without lifting the comb, lay it flat against the scalp.
  • Next, push your index finger down beside the middle finger and quietly push the ridge to hold it tight. Turn the comb teeth backside to vertical and comb the hair out and curved back in the reverse direction. Shift your middle finger down so that you can carry on building the ridge as far as you want. You should end up with a ridge of hair moving in one direction and shaped wave in the reverse direction.
  • After that move down along the hair concerning one or two finger widths and create making another ridge in the same direction as the curve over it. Build your waves down as far as you want.
  • When permissible to dry, finger waves can be combed out quietly, resulting in a soft
wave pattern in the otherwise straight hair.
