Folliculitis Decalvans Capillitii Remedies and Causes

Folliculitis decalvans is a form of alopecia that involves scarring on the place where the hair loss occurs. Folliculitis decalvans is one cause of cicatricial alopecia (baldness with scarring) and is sometimes known as tufted folliculitis. It is characterised by redness and swelling and pustules around the hair follicle (folliculitis) that leads to destruction of the follicle and consequent permanent hair loss. Rare form of cicatricial alopecia in which chronic folliculitis leads to progressive scarring.

The patchy lesions with superficial, deeper, and peripherally extending folliculitis give way to atrophy. Frequently, tufts of hair persist, so that several hair shafts emerge from one follicle opening.

The Folliculitis Decalvans Cause

There is no such a thing as a single cause of any health problem. We can only talk about cofactors, causative agents and life situations that like pieces of puzzle interact with each other, and together promote a chain of events ending with a named set of symptoms and health problems & with Folliculitis Decalvans.

What are the signs and symptoms?

  • Any hairy region may be involved.
  • It is usually confined to the scalp but can involve other sites including the beard, underarm and pubic hair, lower legs, thighs and arms.
  • There are usually round or oval patches of hair loss in which there are pustules surrounding the hair follicles (perifollicular pustules).
  • Characteristically, several or many hairs can be seen coming out of a single follicle, so the scalp looks "tufted" like a toothbrush.
  • Eventually the hairs are shed as the follicle is completely destroyed and leaves behind a scar.

Sweating (Folliculitis Decalvans)

Sweating is powerful way to cleanse your body from accumulated toxins. It may occur due to:

  • Exercise with a lot of clothes
  • Sauna
  • Drink warm tea in a hot room.
  • Eat CAYENNE pepper!

It is known that some modern industrial toxins and pesticides can leave your body only through sweat glands!

What is the treatment of folliculitis decalvans?

There is no permanent cure for the condition but it can be controlled to some degree by using medications.

  1. Oral antibiotics such as minocycline, tetracycline, rifampicin, clindamycin, fusidic acid, ciprofloxacin and dicloxacillin have all been tried with varying results from patient to patient.
  2. In some severe forms, addition of an oral corticosteroid may be necessary.
  3. Oral isotretinoin has also been tried with some success.
